Established in 1976, B. Darnton & Co. has developed into one of the leading tiling companies in the North of England.

The company was founded by Brian Darnton and run as a family firm with every member of the Darnton family having an active part to play. Darnton Tiling has enjoyed success over the years due to the friendly family atmosphere, combined with the capacity to expand through our own financial resources and the ability to adapt to and accommodate the ever-increasing demands for Quality Assurance and Health and Safety legislation.

After quickly outgrowing two premises early in the company's history B. Darnton & Co. moved to their present address at Newhold Industrial Estate, Garforth, Leeds. These new premises provided adequate office space for all staff and a large warehouse facility. As the company continued to expand, more warehouse space was required to accommodate the bulk materials being purchased, a warehouse extension was provided to almost double stock capacity. More recently, an extensive refurbishment has provided a new first floor storage area and renovated and extended office facilities with up to date networked computer systems and communications.

In September 1995 John Kennedy (Managing Director) who has been with the company from its incorporation, purchased the business from the Darnton family. As a result of his hands on management, the successful policies of the past are continuing to produce extraordinary success for the company and our clients.
